OLD MONK Rum has been around since 1954, when it was first produced by Mohan Meakin Limited in Ghaziabad, India. The rum is named after the company's chairman, Brigadier Kapil Mohan, who was known to friends as "OLD MONK" because of his appearance and behavior.
